Grandville Middle School encourages all of our parents to stay connected at the middle school level. Once students reach 7th and 8th grade, you may hear your children tell you that you "don't have to come" to events, etc., but know that they (and we!) really appreciate your involvement and attendance at events and activities.
We call our parent group at GMS the Parent Support Council (PSC). We meet once a month on a Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Media Center. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend our monthly meetings. If you are unable to attend, you will find our monthly minutes posted on our website.
We have one building fundraiser for the year, therefore, the focus and opportunities at the MS level vary greatly from those at the elementary level. Our building fundraiser for the year is the magazine drive, held in the fall each year.
Other volunteer opportunities include helping chaperone or organize our annual dance, helping with school photos, scheduling parent conferences, working at the check-in table during parent conferences, helping with our new student breakfast, just to name a few! Please go to www.signupgenius.com for current volunteer opportunities. You will need to "Find A Sign Up" and then search by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). You will then be able to see current volunteer needs and add your name to the list to help. Thank you!
