I have worked for 27 years with Middle School students. I have specialized in adolescent language and social communication skills. I continue to learn more daily about technology skills for my students and integrating technology into therapy. I am currently interested in and developing a specialty in Spectrum Disorders and Peer Mentoring. I am the adviser of the Gay Straight Alliance at our High School (3 years).
I have also worked with preschool students and specialized in the reduction of phonological processes using the Hodson program. I have worked with both Elementary and High Schoolers, but always come back to Middle School. In fact, in all my years in Grandville, I have worked in nearly every building, both public and private, in the district, and there are many....
I teach elementary summer school in Grandville (Arts and Crafts) to at-risk and special education students (a great way to get at language!).
